Academic experience includes two Adjunct Professorships at Cabrini College and LaSalle University spanning a 10 year period. Taught courses in Labor Relations, Collective Bargaining and Human Resources. Conducted a seminar on grievance processing and case preparation in conjunction with the American Arbitration Association for the PA State Troopers Association and PA State Corrections Officers Association.
As the Corporate Manager of Field Labor Relation for the United States Postal Service managed the overall labor relations function throughout a complex network of offices employing 600,000 unionized workers. Administered the arbitration training program for advocates. Directed 9 Area Managers of Labor Relations who supervised 600 field labor relations professionals. Acted as one of the chief negotiators during contract bargaining with 4 national unions. Mediated numerous disputes between employees and management. As an advocate, participated in approximately 300 arbitrations. Served on a national taskforce for the American Arbitration Association.
Have decided cases ranging from disciplinary terminations to a myriad of contractual issues in the 425 cases handled. Also handled interest arbitration disputes for the National Association of Letter Carriers and US Postal Service.
